Dr. U. Phillip Igbinadolor is a Fellow of the Academy of General Dentistry. He received his elementary and High School Education from his hometown of Benin City, Edo State and then earned his Bachelor of Dental Surgery from the University Of Benin College Of Medical Sciences, Edo State, Nigeria. He served as President of University of Benin Dental Students Association. He then proceeded to the University of London King’s College where he obtained M.Sc. in Dental Public Health and immediately became a Diplomate of the Royal College of Surgeons of England. A recipient of King’s College minority Student award. He worked in various positions while in the United Kingdom. In his desire to be a clinically oriented Cosmetic and General Dentist who is willing to learn from colleagues and other professionals, he went to University of Pittsburgh School of Dental Medicine Advanced Study Program for foreign trained Dentists, Pittsburgh, PA where he obtained the Degree of Doctor of Dental Medicine. He also completed the elective program in Dental Anesthesiology as well as the Prosthetic and Surgical curriculum of Branemark System dental implants at the University of Pittsburgh. He is a Blue/Gold Dental Ambassador of the University of Pittsburgh, Pittsburgh, PA. He was a recipient of Stern Scholarship at the institution. He is a member of the American Dental Association, North Carolina Dental Society, North Carolina Academy of General Dentistry, Past President of the University of Benin Alumni Association North America (UBAANA) and a member of the Association of Nigerian Physicians in the Americas (ANPA) where he has served in various positions from being a past Chairman of the Carolinas Chapter and the First Chairman of the Dental Committee of ANPA. He Co-authored “Perceptions of AIDS among dental patients in Nigeria” African Journal of Medical Practice, vol2 No6 1995. He is the President of U. Phillip Igbinadolor, DMD and Associates, P. A. based in Monroe and Charlotte, NC. He is happily married to his wife Dr. Awawu Igbinadolor who is an Internist and together they have 3 lovely children, Mark, Megan and Michelle. An avid sportsman who participate in Soccer, Tennis, Reading, and Golfing. He is involved in philanthropy programs worldwide supporting less privileged people.
